Bedroom Renovations

Bedrooms are always my favorite spaces to redo- they will be someones sanctuary! The place you lay your head should be a comfortable and clean space that says a little bit about you as a person. Below are 5 bedrooms from 2 little cabins I renovated- and the bedrooms REALLY needed an update- see below for Before & After Pics along with some of the products and processes I used to achieve a more updated look on minimal budget!

ABOVE: Of course I had to start by ripping the half trees out of the corners lol. I usually have a couple "go-to" colors, but used something new here I was very happy with on the walls which was "Gathering- Magnolia Home". I redid the floors with LVP flooring throughout the home- I LOVE dark floors! Used my favorite trim which is a rough cut trim from Lowe's that comes pre-stained. Trim makes all the difference in a room and in cabins can help maintain a more Rustic feel. I painted the actual window "Urban Bronze- Sherwin Williams" to blend better with the trim. Painted the closet doors with "Limewash Glaze- Valspar" and added some Chic style handles. Added one of my goto fans- which I should buy in bulk I use so much lol- Prominence Home Briar-crest Farmhouse Ceiling Fan from Overstock.com- Room officially Updated :)

Decorating is always my Favorite part.. with Cabins I always try to stick with the cabin theme in wall art with pics of bear, deer, woods, anything native to the area. This Bear Pic (Uttermost Deep Sleep) I have used in several homes including our personal home- it was what I decorated the rest of the room around! I usually pick one piece of art and work around that. I fell in love with this O&O Olivia & Oliver Bedding Set too! My favorite thing in bedrooms is comfort- soft bedding, extra fuzzy blankets, anything that brings comfort!

I have done a kids "bunk room" twice now- this is great for small bedrooms because it creates more useable space. Flooring is same LVP as the "Bear Room", same fan, paint color, window color, and trim. These two rooms were directly across from each other so I try to keep everything consistent. Bunkbed with a slide is always fun- this one is a Max&Lily. I used the floating entertainment center which is pictured on the right wall due to lack of space in the room- great idea for tight spaces- Wayfair, Kitterman Floating Entertainment Center by Wade Logan. Bedsheets by Eddie Bauer.

Room Above was my biggest struggle... it was a basement "Den" when I found it and a Garage was located thru the door you see. I converted the garage to a game room and really wanted a third bedroom in this house so this had to be it! Dont get me wrong, I LOVE the wall fireplace and thought it would be perfect in a bedroom space... but this particular fireplace, mantle, crooked old diagonal walls, carpet, and textured ceilings were pretty dark and outdated. PAINT PAINT PAINT!! I painted the entire fireplace and the walls Shiplap-Magnolia Homes. I did end up re-drywalling the ceiling too- could not get past the texture. Used an LVP Flooring throughout the basement which didn't match this space really well, but big rugs fix everything! I bought an unfinished wood barn door from Lowes and stained that along with door trims Early American which is one of my FAVORITE stains! Light fixture came from Lowes as well. The bed came from Overstock.com-Grain Wood Furniture Montauk Panel Bed.

I wish I would have gotten better "Before" pics for above, it was bad. And... I did end up replacing the fan (to a super cute black fan) but could not get it in time for pics. LVP Flooring throughout. Went with "Go To" color of Agreeable Gray. Stained my wood trim with Black Stain- loved the finished product! To make this space more romantic I added an electric fireplace, semi sheer curtains, again with the O&O Bedding (Love the mixed textures with this brand), and some green velvet chairs. Any other questions about this renovated space or anything in the pics, just ask!

Above was SUCH a tiny bedroom there would not be enough room for a full bedroom set but wanted it to be an inviting space for children so made it into a bunk-room. Walls were Agreeable Gray, and Trim was Black Stained rough cut from Lowes. Bunk bed was Polibi Twin Over Full with Playhouse from Amazon- and Eddie Bauer Sheets. All the wall art was found at Home Goods. Used the Wayfair, Kitterman Floating Entertainment Center by Wade Logan again mounted to the wall.
